Located between Portopalo di Capo Passero and Marzamemi, along the eastern coast of Sicily, about 60 km from Syracuse, the beach of Morghella is characterized by a grainy sandy cove and a blue and crystalline sea. The seabed is immediately high from the first meters from the water’s edge, so we recommend paying special attention to children. During summer, the seaside is well served by beach clubs offering different services, including beach equipment rental. The area could be very crowded during high season. The coastline takes its name from an ancient disused salt pan, which is located behind the beach. This water mirror hosts several species of migratory birds that stop there in spring and autumn.
