Giardini Naxos beach


The beach of Giardini Naxos is one of the most important and popular seaside resorts in Sicily. It extends for about 4 km south of Taormina, from Capo Schisò to Capo Taormina. Along the coast there are free and equipped beaches with beach clubs and restaurants. The type of beach varies according to the area. In the south area of Recanati the beach is partly with sand and partly with pebbles. Proceeding northward you can reach the beach of Schisò, which is very popular among tourists. This beach is composed of fine golden sand surrounded by a green Mediterranean vegetation. Immediately after, there is the beach of San Giovanni, formed by fine gray sand and; eventually there is Porticciolo Saja, an area with several sandy coves among fascinating lava rocks. The sea bathing the coast of Giardini Naxos is clear and blue and boasts wonderful deep waters.
