The beach of Gallina lies 5 km north of Avola and about 20 km from Syracuse, on the eastern coast of Sicily, It is located in the Natural Reserve of the River Cassibile. The golden sandy beach, about 500 m long, is bordered by white cliffs washed by a blue and transparent sea. The caves and the natural arches that characterize the cliffs are very impressive: from there a pine forest extends and surrounds the bay, protecting it from the winds. The beach is long and narrow, so it could get crowded during high season. It is also served by a bar renting beach umbrellas. At the northern end of the coast there is a parking area.
