Torre di Mezzo, located a few kilometers from Punta Secca, is very popular among locals for its small, but wide, fine golden sandy beach. It is a seaside hamlet of the municipality of Santa Croce Camerina and extends along the southeastern coast of Sicily, about 30 km from Ragusa. The clear waters are enclosed between two rocky spurs protecting them. Thanks to its secluded position, this beach is very quiet even in summer, especially during working days, and it is equipped with a wide parking. There is also a beach club renting deckchairs and umbrellas and offering a bar and a restaurant. At night, Torre di Mezzo becomes the perfect location for those who want to enjoy a drink and have fun.
The tower Torre di Mezzo owes its name to the presence of a tower located between Tower Scalambri in Punta Secca and the Tower Vigliena in Punta Braccetto. This construction was used for sighting at sea, but today there only a few remains.
