The coast of Stazzo, a seaside hamlet of Acireale located between Santa Tecla and Pozzillo, along the eastern coast of Sicily (25 km from Catania), is characterized by lava cliffs and sandy coves. The cliffs are easily accessible thanks to the boardwalks, on which you can freely lie down to sunbathe. Stazzo offers a natural basin where two ports rises: the largest one is called "U Scalo", while the smallest one, used mostly by fishermen, takes the name of "Unna". These two ports repair the beach from the winds, keeping the sea always calm. Near the main port there is a small free beach of black and grainy sand. You can park your car a few meters from the the port.
